Comparison

AUGO vs CARTMAN ratchet straps

AUGO's 733 lb, 2,200 lb 4-pack against CARTMAN's 500 lb, 1,500 lb 6-pack and CARTMAN's 3,333 lb, 10,000 lb 2-inch pair.

AUGO vs CARTMAN ratchet straps

CARTMAN sells both ends of this catalog: a 1-inch multi-pack that undercuts AUGO on published capacity, and a 2-inch pair that sits in the same published class as a KEEPER 27-foot tie-down. The brand name alone does not tell you which one is in the cart. Read the width.

Six straps at a lower published working load

CARTMAN ASIN B0C1MMYFL7 is six 1-inch by 15-foot straps. The bullets state a 500 lb working load and a 1,500 lb breaking limit, coated S-hooks, a quick-release lever, and a carry bag. Six is a real advantage if you are strapping several light items and every strap stays inside 500 lb. It is not an advantage if you wanted the 733 lb figure and hoped the extra two straps would invent it. AUGO's four straps publish the higher capacity and add soft loops, which this CARTMAN 6-pack's bullets do not list.

One CARTMAN bullet says the nylon straps are made of polyester fibers. Those are different fibers. StrapRank does not pick a winner between the two words. The webbing material is check listing. Polyester is the usual tie-down fiber because it stretches less than nylon when it gets wet, but that general fact is not a lab report on this ASIN.

The 2-inch pair is a different CARTMAN

ASIN B01DF3N5F0 publishes 10,000 lb break strength and 3,333 lb working load limit on two 2-inch by 27-foot straps with double J-hooks and a storage bag. The bullets describe high-tenacity polyester webbing. Set next to AUGO's 2,200 lb kit, the only honest summary is that CARTMAN publishes the much higher assembly rating, in a pack of two, at a length meant for a trailer. Set next to KEEPER's single 27-foot tie-down, the published pounds match and the CARTMAN listing is a 2-pack. That is the comparison that matters once you have left the 1-inch shelf.

Questions readers actually ask

Is the CARTMAN 6-pack a better deal because it has more straps?

It has more straps. It also publishes a lower working load, 500 lb, and a lower break strength, 1,500 lb, than AUGO's 733 lb and 2,200 lb. StrapRank does not publish prices, so "deal" is a question for the live listing, not for this page.

Does CARTMAN have a heavy-duty option?

Yes. The 2-inch by 27-foot 2-pack, ASIN B01DF3N5F0, publishes a 10,000 lb break strength and a 3,333 lb working load limit, with double J-hooks and a bag.
